The ASCC recognises the ongoing work of students as well as experienced individuals and their contribution to the Society and its events with the following award categories:
Lester Conrad Award
This award is in memory of Lester Conrad who was instrumental in establishing the IFSCC and the ASCC. Find more details and past winners here.
Jack Jacobs Memorial Trophy
Awarded to the best paper at the ASCC Annual Conference based on original research conducted in either Australia or New Zealand. Find more details and past winners here.
Peter Strasser Award
Established in 2017 and awarded to the best overall workshop at an Annual Conference. Find more details and past winners here.
ASCC Educational Paper Award

Industry Awards
ASCC Travel Award
The International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists, IFSCC, organises an internationally recognised Congress every 2 years – competition to speak at these Congresses is very high and as a result an excellent standard of papers is maintained! To encourage research in Australia and New Zealand and participation in the IFSCC, the ASCC has established the ASCC Travel Award and the ASCC will pay airfares and accommodation for a speaker to attend an IFSCC Congress or Conference. Henry Maso Award for Young Cosmetic Scientists
The Award is given at IFSCC Congresses to the best scientific paper submitted to any of the 8 issues of the IFSCC Magazine published in the previous 2 years. The author must normally be under the age of 40. The winner will be awarded a trip to the next IFSCC Congress with the cost of travel, accommodation and registration fees up to, but not exceeding, 5000 Swiss Francs, being paid by the IFSCC. Maison G de Navarre Young Scientist Prize
This prize is granted in years of an IFSCC Conference to enable a young scientist at attend the Conference. Click here for more details.
Tertiary Award
Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Monash University. The ASCC currently offers a prize for outstanding performance in Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science second year exhibition offered by the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Monash University. Read more
